We've scouted some locations and one that seems very promising is the 'Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum' in Weston WV. We think that it would be a great location. We visited Weston, but unfortunately the building was closed for 'renovations', so we could only scout it from the outside. Check out the little video (above) we shot from the 'street'. It was done with a cheap hand held camera, in about ten minutes. That being said, you'll get an idea of the magnificence of this place. We think you'll agree that it would be an amazing location. It may not be the final location but it will give you an idea of the type of locations we're considering. By the way, Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum is it's 'real' name. When it was in operation, they changed the name in it's later years to Weston State Hospital ... but the new, private owners decided to use the institution's original name.
We also visited another script location...Aquidneck Island Rhode Island... and had a chance to scout a few, visually interesting locations, like the one pictured here...Glen Manor House in Portsmouth.
Again, we haven't settled on any location just yet, but the two above have potential.
